دانشگاه لنکشایر مرکزی (University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) ) از لحاظ شمار دانشجویان مقطع کارشناسی، در میان ده دانشگاه برتر بریتانیا قرار دارد و بسیاری از علاقمندان به تحصیل در انگلستان را در خود جای داده است. این دانشگاه با ۳۶۰۰۰ دانشجو در مرکز بخش پرستون (Preston) واقع شدهاست. یک مشاور مستقل مدعی شدهاست که این دانشگاه سالانه دویست میلیون پوند به اقتصاد محلی کمک میکند.در طرح جامع این دانشگاه، برنامهی ساخت یک پردیس متمرکز دیده میشود که پردیس فعلی را بهصورت یکپارچه به شهر متصل خواهد کرد. در سالهای اخیر طرحهای توسعهی بسیاری اجرا شدهاست که از جمله نتایج آن میتوان به مرکز ورزشی سر تام فینی (Sir Tom Finney) با بودجهای سیزده میلیون پوندی و یک ساختمان دوازده و نیم میلیون پوندی که مرکزی برای علوم قضایی، شیمی و آتشنشانی است اشاره کرد.

شهریه برای دانشجویان انگلیسی / اروپایی در سال تحصیلی ۲۰۱۸-۲۰۱۷ : ۹۲۵۰ پوند شهریهی دورهی کارآموزی یا فرصت مطالعاتی (یک سال تحصیل در خارج از کشور) : ۱۰۰۰پوند شهریهی گذراندن دورههای آموزشی در کالجهای همکار: ۹۲۵۰-۶۰۰۰ پوند شهریهی دانشجویان بینالمللی در سال تحصیلی ۲۰۱۸-۲۰۱۷ : ۱۷۵۰۰-۱۱۹۵۰ پوند شهریه رشته ی پزشکی: ۳۶۶۰۰ پوند از ۲۰۱۹-۲۰۱۸ به بعد انتظار می رود که شهریه دانشجویان انگلستان با توجه به نرخ تورم افزایش یابد.
