دانشگاه شاندونگ (Shandong University) یکی از قدیمیترین و معتبرترین دانشگاه های چین است. این دانشگاه در سال ۱۹۰۱ تأسیس و پس از دانشگاه جینگشی (دانشگاه متروپولیتن) به عنوان دومین دانشگاه ملی رسمی در چین شناخته شد. وزارت آموزش و پرورش چین اخیراً این دانشگاه را به عنوان دانشگاه جامع کلیدی ملی تأیید و در سال ۲۰۰۱ در لیست ۲۱ ساختمان کلیدی ملی دانشگاههای ممتاز قرار داده است.
این دانشگاه ۱۰۴ دورۀ کارشناسی، ۲۰۹ دورۀ کارشناسی ارشد، ۱۲۷ دورۀ مرتبط با دکتری و ۱۵ دورۀ فوق دکتری بهصورت آموزش از راه دور دارد. علاوهبر این، دانشگاه شاندونگ ۷ برنامۀ تخصصیِ کارشناسی ارشد در رشتههای حقوق، مدیریت بازرگانی، مهندسی، پزشکی بالینی و دیگر رشته ها دارد که دانشجویان بین المللی بسیاری که علاقمند به تحصیل در چین هستند را در خود جای داده است.
